A rare matcha crafted in small seasonal batches.

From the historic tea-growing region of Shiga, Japan, this Limited Reserve matcha is made from first-harvest Okumidori leaves carefully shaded and hand-picked each spring. The leaves are slowly stone-ground to preserve their vibrant emerald color, natural sweetness, and refined umami.

Silky and balanced, it reveals creamy texture, gentle nuttiness, and a smooth, lingering finish. Produced in extremely limited quantities—only 2,000 cans each year—this matcha reflects the quiet precision and artistry of traditional Japanese tea craftsmanship.

+ Crafted for: Ceremonial matcha (Usucha)
+ Flavor Profile: Smooth umami, natural sweetness
+ Tasting Note: Creamy, nutty, delicate finish
+ Ideal Use: Traditional tea, matcha latte, daily ritual

What is Saemidori matcha?

Absolutely one of Japan's most prized cultivars. Saemidori was developed in 1969 by crossing Yabukita with Asatsuyu — known for its vivid emerald color, natural sweetness, and high L-theanine content. FKRŌ uses 100% Saemidori sourced from family farms in Japan.
